888 holdings confirms bid to acquire bwin.party
Last year in November bwin.party company (that possesses such brands as Party Poker, bWin, Party Casino, WPT and others) was reported to be put on sale. Company's assets became a desirable acquisition for a whole queue of buyers. Even Amaya Inc. that owns the most popular poker rooms - PokerStars and Full Tilt - and Playtech were interested in acquisition. But the deal has not yet taken place.
And just recently The Guardian publishing has issued an article on the possible bwin.party takeover by 888poker. To be precise the net value of the 888poker (£600 million) is less than that of bwin( £800 million). Therefore the inverse transaction isn't excluded.
Today bwin.party administration is just considering the possible variant so it's too early to expect the bid.
To remind you previously 888poker has rejected the bid from the famous bookmaker William Hill due to the modest price of £744 million.
