Unibet will create its own poker network

It’s been about two years now since Unibet Poker stopped being the part of Microgaming poker network (now called MPN) as, according to the words of top manager of the company, it wasn’t financially beneficial in the long strategic run.

Right after exiting MPN network, Unibet launched its own independent poker room on the Relax Gaming platform. The launch was a great success and Unibet Poker momentarily attracted quite a big number of players. Unibet adopted an aggressive strategy of development. This is approved by the facts the company bought the actives of iGame Holdings and Stan James Online.

The poker site existed in this state until now. Recently there was a news about Unibet creating its own poker network. The first skin to enter the new-born poker network is Finnish Pokerihuone poker room with the small number of players. Pokerihuone is one the brands of iGame Holdings, which was bought by Unibet Group in the August last year. It is planned, Pokerihuone will join Unibet on May, 2nd.

After the deal is made, players of both sites will be able to participate in the same tournaments and Pokerihuone users will get the access to all the promotions and offers by Unibet. Currently Pokerihuone is one of the skins of MPN network.

According to the experts, this merger won’t affect poker network rankings but it is possible Unibet will turn some other brands that belong to the Group (24hBet Poker and Stan James Poker) to the new poker network. Both of the sites currently operate in MPN network.

According to words of the head of poker department Andrew West, the poker room management is satisfied with the currents financial state of the company this year despite noticing that the company needs to work hard at this:

'We spend a lot of effort for Pokerihuone to be able to accept new players using the new software'.
