Unibet Group is reported to acquire iGame Holding

August 7,2015 was marked Unibet Group signing a 100% take-over contract acquiring 100% iGame Holding’s shares. The real purpose of the agreement is to boost the positions of Unibet within Scandinavian countries.

The deal is expected to happen nearer to the end of the third decade. The deal value approx. amounts to  €59 million ($ 64,5 million).

Today Unibet Group is the owner of such brands as Unibet itself (together with Unibet Poker) and Maria. iGame Holdings control such brands as 24hBet (along with 24hBet Poker), iGame, Pokerihuone, Casinohuone,  Veikkaushuone, Kolikkopelit, Leijonakasino, Hertat and Bohemia Casino.

It’s expected that in the long run the company will strengthen its positions on the major markets and will be able to streamline the customer service and minimize at the same time the costs for brand-building.

It’s also worth mentioning that Unibet group has recently published its financial results over the first half-year: the gross margin has gone up from £75.6 million to £80.5 million.
