Unibet Group becomes Kindred Group Plc

The management of Unibet Group took a decision of re-branding. That way, the next Monday, on December, 12 2016 the company will have a new name on the stock market - Kindred Group Plc, instead of its current - Unibet Group.

This event didn’t come out to be unexpected. Let us recall that the offer of re-branding was made by Anders Ström, the Chairman of the Board of the company in September this year. On December, 6 the general meeting was hold, called 'Extraordinary General Meeting', where all the stock holders of the company agreed to re-branding.

The main goal of re-branding is avoiding the confusion as it is important to have difference between the web site of certain brands and the group of companies (Unibet brand and its services, i.e. poker room, casino, bingo etc. - author’s remark). The management of the company think that they will be able to unite several popular brands under one name. We talk about several brands, which belong to the company - Unibet, Stan James, Maria Casino and Maria Bingo, Bingo.com, and iGame.

During the following several days the general public will see new logo and corporate brand of the company.

Anders Ström, Unibet Founder and the Chairman of the Board of the company commented the news of upcoming change of name:

'We’ve proposed re-branding of the company as we appreciate precision in modern gambling world. Now we’ll be able to avoid confusion and better the conditions of the further progress'.

Unibet was founded in 1997, is based on Malta and has Swedish stock holders. It provides an access to online casino services, sports betting and online poker to users from Europe and Australia.
