PokerStars announced record breaking $51.000 buy-in online poker tournament
PokerStars has always been famous for its desire to stand out from a crowd: the poker room has often set records on organizing the most expensive and large-scale online poker tournaments.
The other day it has been announced that a high roller tournament held within WSOP 2015 series would be called High Roller Event promising a guaranteed prize pool of $1.000.000. Right now the buy-in fee of the tournament amounts to $51.000. Some years ago WCOOP used to organize tournaments with buy-ins of $25.000 but the administration of the poker room decided to expand instead of making no headway.
The full name of the tournament is - WCOOP-47: $51,000 NL Hold'em [8-Max, Super High-Roller], $1M Guaranteed, which will take place on September 20, 2015 at 17:30 UTC.
The tournament won't definately attract a large number of players but Team Pro PokerStars Daniel Negreanu and Jason Mercier have already expressed their wish to participate. The organizers expect about 40 people to take part.
