PokerStars and 888poker are now legit in Romania

Lately Amaya Gaming Inc and 888Holdings have made two independent announcements. Both companies has claimed in official press releases that starting September 2016 they will be legally working on Romania’s territory and will be able to offer their playing services properly in the country.

Earlier PokerStars and 888 Poker used to work from the grey area and provided their services to Romania dwellers without appropriate permissions of local authorities. But starting from 2015 PokerStars and 888poker were temporarily licensed for legal work and were obliged to follow strict rules of fair play, accounts safety and steady soft operation.

Both poker operators were fully tested by the government, so they were officially licensed to work in Romania. Amaya has also announced the launch of a betting shop BetStars.ro

Romanian players will carry on being a part of a common (.com) player pool.
