Online poker traffic in October 2016

Online poker traffic in October 2016

One more autumn month has passed and it’s high time to sum it up. October has been really good to the online poker world, many poker sites have shown better results in terms of traffic of players. Sure, it can be easily determined by the seasonal tendencies, but in case of many poker sites, you can also see the impact of proper marketing campaigns.

TOP-10 poker rooms and poker networks have shown a great growth (+1000 average online players in total). As usual PokerStars was the main driving force of the traffic growth at online poker (with 1000 players increase comparing to September) and now it’s average daily traffic is fixed at 14,000 cash-players rate. Moreover, if two biggest reservations - Ignition Poker (previously, Bodog) and Winamax.fr hadn’t decreased in online that much, then the total effect would have been more impressive.

Such poker networks as MPN, PartyPoker and Winning have been showing constant figures with their online departments remaining at the same level.

888 Poker

888 Poker has also got through stagnation and even improved its online results (though not that significant) by 100 players to 1900 cash-players weekly on average. The fact Russian-focused poker site Lotos Poker goes offline from 888poker's dot-com network to prepare for switch to GG Poker Network still hasn’t influenced the situation anyhow. We will be able to evaluate the impact only the next month. But apparently the second online poker room in the world won’t face any losses about it and it will be able to reimburse a part of the players that left.

How is iPoker doing?

We think it’s really interesting how the things are going at iPoker (the major skins are Titan Poker and William Hill), hence recently they have lost enough players. Last month they showed a traffic growth with 12% increase. It’s yet hard to sum up what has influenced the most - seasonal growth of the game or successful marketing promotions. And concerning they haven’t had loads of successful months lately, we can call it a positive tendency.

Unfortunately, iPoker is still far enough from the positions it used to occupy it the beginning of the year. Now it’s on the 6th place of the top.

How does the anonymous hand history introduction influence PartyPoker?

Hope you remember, that last month PartyPoker implemented an anonymous hand history, what made HM2/PT4 and other additional soft totally useless in the room. We personally couldn’t wait to see the reaction of the players and the impact it’s going to cause to the traffic of the poker room.

As far as figures are concerned the players didn’t react to the changes - the majority found it okay. Otherwise how can we explain the fact that the traffic remains steady without any declines? The figures are the same as they were the month before. Of course, we can suppose that if this innovation hadn’t been introduced the traffic could have increased, as in other poker rooms this month, but we will never know...

PokerDom is approaching the Top-10

It’s a fact. Last few months PokerDOM merely doubled its average online traffic rate and obviously they are not about to stop there. If they carry on like this for a few months, they will be able to finally reach the top-10 among the most famous networks and poker-rooms.

At the moment the poker room is occupying the 14th place having a little less traffic than the Chico Poker network.

Online poker traffic conclusion

2016 brought loads of commotion into the online poker world. Therefore the growing traffic of the certain poker sites and the entire industry is undoubtedly satisfying. You can for sure find the reason in the seasonal changes, compare this results with the same of the previous more effective years - it’s your right! But sometimes it’s so nice to look at the situation positively, even though wearing pink glasses.
