Ivan Demidov have left PokerStars Team Pro

Famous Russian poker player - Ivan Demidov - has confessed to the poker community that since year 2015 is off, he can no longer be considered a member of PokerStars Team Pro taking into account his decision not to renew the sponsorship contract.

According to Ivan himself, he made up his mind at the beginning of 2015 whilst his work in spaceship start-up has started to engage all the spare time. He made the final call when the administration of PokerStars cut down on the affiliates’ comissions and later announced future changes in the website’s VIP loyalty programme.

But as it later turned out, the reason is behind the fact that Ivan Demidov can no longer find motivation in playing poker that helped him at the beginning:

“When I first started playing poker, the amount of information I learned every day was enormous. I can still recall how I ran into the ICM concept on one of the English-speaking forums and literally wised up. Then HM and statistics appeared, next I turned to cash games and 100 stack game, then 8 games and etc. This was all new and interesting and made me play. And it also affected the result positively”.

As years went by fewer and fewer developments in poker industry appeared therefore Ivan simply felt bored. He found satellites later though, that the former Pro Team member sees his future with:

“New satellites appeared! Now it’s no longer that easy to succeed  and there’s a lot to learn Ideal!”
