Full Tilt is reported to sponsor a cybersport team

Poker room Full Tilt keeps on searching for “a new blood” in gamer community. Soon after its app was placed on the popular Steam service the administration of the poker room decided to sponsor G2 eSports team.

Initially the sponsorship contract includes only G2 eSports Hearthstone team but the condition of success the administration considers options for becoming the main sponsor for all teams that are members of the organization.

Hearthstone is a free online card game that is very similar to Magic: The Gathering. Hearthstone championships take place worldwide and teams compete not only for victory but also for 5-digit money prizes. Apart from championships, players also contend for positions in rating charts.

There’s also the resemblance of online poker - though there’s a certain element of chance, players with better skills usually prevail. Another peculiarity about the game is a huge popularity of card games’ online broadcastings. And while Twitch broadcastings became desirable in the poker community some years ago only, Hearthstone fans appreciated such streams duly quite long ago.
