ElkY proves to be the most influential poker player in social networks

A few days ago PokerStars - a well-liked poker website - published an annual table showing pokerists' advances and their influence on the world of poker through the social networks.

Surprisingly, it was found that French professional player - Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier - took the first place and draw ahead of his equally distinguished colleagues. Liv Boery - a wonderful woman-poker player - took the 2nd place and Daniel Negreanu which used to on the top of the chart last year, occupied the third position only.

In this chart the advances of the players are calculated with the help of such apps as Followerwonk and Likealyze which analyze the accounts’ performance and popularity in within Twitter and Facebook.

Though Bertran doesn’t actually have as many followers in Twitter (65k) and Facebook (30k) as his rivals do (Negreanu (378k и 140k) and Boery (110k и 88k)), his posts gained many “likes” and “reposts” thanks to his effective performance which helped him to score 79 social points out of 100 possible and stay in considerable advance of his colleagues. Boery has 71 points under the belt and Negreanu progressed to the stage with 68 points.

This chart also included Jason Sommerwill (5th place), Phil Ivey 97th place, Chris Moneymaker (12th place) and a Ukrainian player Evgeniy Kachalov (15th olace).
