Duel - new PokerStars app for heads-up games

Hardly had poker forums stopped arguing about the closure of heads-up tables at PokerStars when the biggest online poker room announced another innovation: the new app for mobile phones.

Duel app from PokerStars enables its players to play with friends or random players. The game itself is bound to be a heads-up match. Each game consists of 10 hands for play money or 20 hands for real money. Players will be given a certain time from several hours to several days to make a decision throughout each of these hands. Thus, the developers made it possible for users to take serious decisions at off-daily-routine time. All hands will be simultaneously dealt at the beginning of the game, so afterwards players can choose on their own which hand to take part in at the very moment with a chance to leave the toughest ones for the end. The players with the biggest number of chips in their stack by the end of all hands will be considered a winner.

Duel poker app is expected to go mainstream through social networks, as on their basis players will have a chance to challenge their friends to duels and also share their results and success.
