Winamax user gets more than €1,500,000 by pure mistake

Most of poker players work hard to increase their bankroll in the least for something day by day, and of course, each of them would be extremely happy to get a tidy sum on his account. This is the very story that happened to Le-requin34 user from France at the beginning of February.

In the morning before going to work, the player decided to check his Winamax account and found out that there’re additional €1.546.522,16. Surely, he supposed that there had possibly been a system bug and decided not to do anything with the money. However, the next day the huge sum didn't disappear from player's account and so he decided to take it.

During the course of one week Le-requin34 wasted more that €3,000 for the poker game and also withdrew €9,000. Probably, the fact that he actually withdrew the money gave him away to the administration of the poker room. As the next day his account went frozen. The French player contacted the support team at once to find out the reason for the block - as a matter of fact he hadn't violated any rules.

It soon turned out that €1,500,000 was credited mistakenly to player's account. One of the operators mixed up fields and entered player's number - 1546634 - in the bonus field instead of €1,82.

Winamax administration explained to the player that his account would stay temporarily blocked to determine the cause. The «lucky» player was also asked kindly to return €9,000, however, €3,000 wasted were decided to be forgiven and it's was thought event to give €1,000 as a consolation prize.

However, the player refuses to return the money basing on the fact that he wasn't actually mixed up in fraud, but the poker room itself gave him the money on his account as a bonus. Le-requin34 is ready to go to the court to defend his position.
