Dates for WSOP 2016 release, Colossus II guarantee goes up to $7 000 000

Some days ago the organizers announced dates for another, the 47th in succession, WSOP series. The most long-awaited event in the poker world will last 50 days starting from May 31 until July 18,2016. The new season will bring in the reappearance of two popular formats - the Colossus, Millionaire Maker, Monster Track and separate tournaments for male and female.

The guarantee of the biggest offline tournament, the Colossus, is increased from $5 million to $7. Similar to the last year, the buy-in of the tournament will be $565 and players will have two gaps for the second access. Each new launch will compete for prizes so it will become possible to observe the event and let the players make earnings several times during one tournament. The organizers have also taken into account the complaints of the players about the vague prize system and have increased the first prize award - so the winner will get a guaranteed prize of $1 million,

“We expect the second Colossus to excel the former year tournament and become record one. Alongside we’re glad that someone will leave the table with a million on the account”.

Last year the tournament raised 22 374 buy-ins and the guaranteed prize pool was exceeded by 120%.

The main series event with a $10 000 buy-in will take place in familiar period starting from July 9 until July 18 and determine best 9 players and then slow down for a long while.

The organizers promise to publish the timetable for all the upcoming events in the first months of 2016.
