Daniel Negreanu finishes 11th in 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event
During the WSOP Main Event 2015 most of the poker lovers all over the world cheered for Daniel Negreanu. And it’s no surprise why: his appearance on the final table would probably affect positively the popularization of poker itself. Nevertheless, despite all the effort placed by the member of the PokerStar TeamPro, he didn’t manage to make it to the final missing out within a stone’s throw from the November Nine. It should be pointed out that in 2001 Daniel Negreanu also busted out of the Main Event with the same 11th place.
The fatal hand for Negreanu:
Joe McKeehen raised to 800.000 and Daniel decided to defend his BB. The flop came: . Negreanu checked, and McKeehen bet to 700.000. Negreanu said all-in 5.825.000 and was called. Daniel showed and Joe McKeehen - . Joe McKeehen was underdog with ~44% equity.
Turn - . River - , that gave a straight to Joe McKeehen.
Daniel couldn’t hold a bay any more after the following hand. It literally dashed him to the ground.
Daniel Negreanu was awarded with $526 778 for the 11th place.
