A former poker coach has won $5 million in DFS
Aaron ‘aejones’ Jones has won $5 million in Daily Fantasy Sports World Championship organized by DraftKings.
Former poker professional and LeggoPoker educational resource founder - Aaron Jones - won the biggest prize in his life after the victory at the final of American Fantasy Football League tournament last weekend.
Jones copped the biggest prize in the history of Daily Fantasy Sports and the champion’s belt. The prize pool of the final comprised $15 in total. Jones gained the support of other poker players who transferred to DFS: Assani Fisher, Dean Smith and Seven Silverman.
Surely, Jones feels more comfortable when playing poker which he got familiar with when he was 17. He turned to DFS after the LeggoPoker selling to Phil Ivey in 2013. Phil took up rebranding and now the resource is called Ivey League.

Few info about Daily Fantasy Sports
It has almost the same concept as fantasy-football does. However, the DFS game continues on an ongoing basis + participants can mark their players and choose teams for a week or even for a day only with no obligation to stick to them for the whole season. While keeping the popular format the game is often referred to as a gambling one as it implies “instant reward”.
Two providers share 90% of the whole market: Draftkings - the one that organized the championship won by Jones - and Fanduel. Foremost, these two companies have successfully lobbied their interests through in the American government and the game (unlike poker) has became recognized as the game of skill but not a gambling one.
Despite this fact DFS is still banned in Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Washington, Nevada and, since recently, in Texas.
