Satellite
Satellite is a qualifying tournament in poker with prizes in tickets for other tournaments rather than money.
Satellites to the big tournaments are quite popular as they allow participating in those tournaments for much smaller buy-in. Satellites can be performed both in MTT and Sit-n-Go format. In some poker rooms you can find satellites, consisting of several steps. For example, there are special 5-step satellites that allow getting into the biggest tournaments for a minimum price (usually starting from $0.01).
