Rakeback on iPoker Network
iPoker Network is currently one of the largest online poker networks in the world. It is using a software of a world-known developer PlayTech as a platform for its poker rooms. From July 2012 iPoker network had been separated into two pools: the top pool (1st pool of iPoker network), where you will find only the largest poker rooms (Titan Poker, William Hill Poker, Winner Poker, Coral Poker and others), and the second pool, where all the other rooms belong. The difference between the pools is that the top pool has much weaker players in it.

Currently most poker rooms offer rakeback through their loyalty programmes: you receive loyalty points all the way when you play real money games. Rakeback history in iPoker Network
iPoker Network had some serious problems with rakeback earlier and although the management was able to take care of it, the issue still exists. iPoker Network management has started to penalize operators caught on providing players with rakeback directly or through their affiliates.
In fact, iPoker network management had special agents who searched the forums to find illegal rakeback deals and subsequently fine the violators.
Nevertheless, a number of poker rooms did not even thought to stop providing its players with rakeback, despite the penalties, since profits from rakeback deals far exceeded the fines. The issue with grey rakeback in iPoker Network has grown to such an extent that two poker sites - NoiQ Poker and Carlos Poker - were expelled from iPoker Network in 2009.
It all started in November 2008 when iPoker Network management decided to get rid of rakeback and started to penalize partners which had more winning players than losing ones. As a result, a number of rooms banned winning players from their platforms. You can take VC Poker as an example, which had a huge amount of winning players. All those players were forced to search for another site within iPoker Network to be able to play.
Thus, poker rooms, focused on attracting a lot of recreational players, weren’t having too many winning customers, but poker rooms focused on retention and luring professional players and grinders turned out to be on the other side of the coin.
It was hard to prove that specific iPoker Network site offers a grey rakeback, that’s why network’s management introduced the 'win-ratio fine system', which applied to all operators. This system meant that if poker room had 2% more withdrawals than deposits, the room was fined at the end of the month. The fine amount was proportional to a total number of generated rake.
NoIQ Poker and Carlos Poker were forced to leave the network. They were followed by VC Poker. PokerPlex has also closed its doors a bit later (not to be confused with PokerPlex24).
iPoker Network rakeback policies
Rakeback is officially restricted in iPoker Network. Several years ago, iPoker had restricted the use of 'rakeback' word in their promotional materials. Affiliates with 'rake' word in their domain names were not allowed to promote iPoker rooms. Otherwise, poker room was fined.
iPoker Network rooms prohibit direct rakeback. Instead, they offer loyalty programmes for their valuable players.
