Fedor Holz wins WPT Alpha8 highroller tournament in Las-Vegas
As part of WPT Five Diamond Classic series Las-Vegas has held a $100 000 buy-in super-highroller tournament. 45 players have gathered together at its poker tables to compete for a $4 414 500 prize pool.
A player from Germany - Fedor Holz - has won the tourney. He was awarded with Humboldt watch and a $1 589 000 prize. In the final heads-up Holz bit Nick Petrangelo ($1 015 000) and Daniel Negreanu in his own person was third to come in ($640 000).
These are the players who kept their company at the final table:
- Sean Winter - $441,450
- Ankush Mandavia - $309,015
- Katie Len - $242,798
- Keith Tilston - $176,580
And David Peters with his 8th place and $0 became the misfit of the tournament.
Year 2015 shaped extremely lucky for Fedor. He won prize in more than 12 tournaments. Among his list:WSOP, WSOPE, ЕРТ, APPT gaming tables and of course a deep cut in the main WSOP series tournament (25th place). Besides, the impressive list may be completed with the victory at WCOOP 2014 main tournament.
Nuts, but true: there’re players who performed even better in 2015. According to GPI Fedor Holz takes only 9th place the list of the best players. The Las-Vegas victory will surely let him score some positions but he still stands no chance to catch up with Byron Kaverman.
