Aussie Millions: childbirth amid the poker tournament

Many different situations, that trigger emotions with the players or vice versa leave them shocked because of some inadequate things, occur now and then at poker tables. But something which happened at Aussie Millions Poker Championship - is totally brand-new.

According to foreign editions, at the beginning of this week a pregnant woman called Catharina Shiri began having contractions right at the poker table during the Aussie Millions Poker Championship taking place in Australia. Of course she couldn't continue the tournament any longer as she was sent to the hospital where Catharine successfully gave birth to the healthy child.

But this story evolved eventually as the tournament director let her husband continue the game instead of her which had never happened before. Different poker forums opened debates about what the tourney director had done but the grain of truth left unfound though.

However, it’s noteworthy that the director acted within the terms of the Crown Casino rules which actually allow substitutions but only in case the new player hasn’t yet taken part in the tournament.

In the end, Peter, the husband, demonstrated quite successful performance and took 25th place with a $6495 prize.
