Bounty Tournaments

Bounty Tournaments in poker are multi-table tournaments, which are different from regular ones by the fact that for knocking out each of your opponents you will receive a specific bonus (so-called bounty). As a rule, the bonus will come as a cash reward.

Bounty in poker is a sum that is paid by each player for his 'head'. The reward is paid for every knocked-out player, or the prize is awarded for the 'head' of some particular player. The prize pool of Bounty-tournaments is formed out of the part of participants buy-ins. Example of bounty tournament. Tournament with a buy-in of $100+$100+$15. The first part of buy-in forms the main prize pool, second goes to a bounty prize pool, third will be rake.

In bounty tournaments you are able to return your buy-in even before getting into the pay zone, just by eliminating opponents.

Example: 'Unfortunately I haven’t got into the pay zone in this bounty tournament, but I have returned my buy-in by eliminating six of my opponents'.
